Tyra is an amazing model and quite an inspiration for other models around the world. I chose do Tyra for my report because I think she is a wonderful model and I love watching America’s Next Top Model!! I want to know more about her and why she chose to be a model! 1. In what year did Tyra become a model in?

At age 17, Tyra was planning on going to University, when Elite modeling agency signed Tyra. And at age 20, 1993 Tyra was the first African American model to sign a cosmetic company. Then in 1996 Banks was officially the first African American and got the front cover page of Sports Illustrated Magazine. Tyra doesn’t model as much as she did a few years ago but is still very popular.


2. How does Tyra stay in shape?

Tyra stays in shape by; playing lots of sports and exercising, she likes playing basketball and tennis. She always has fun while playing sports or exercising. Banks also likes taking long jogs and training on the Track. In a movie Tyra filmed she played the girlfriend of a Track and Field star, so she had to train extra hard and did well in the movie. Tyra is very fit and always works hard to be active and stay in shape.


3. Where does Tyra Banks see herself in the future?

Tyra sees herself in a bright future and has good plans for herself. She is going to be in 2 upcoming movies; a Disney film and a supermodel movie. Tyra stands very tall in the world with her money; she has about 8.8 million dollars. WOW that’s a lot of money, and is the wealthiest supermodels in the world! As the years pass she might give up her 2 t.v. shows and take over for Oprah Winfrey.

4. Why Tyra did chose to become a model?

As a girl Tyra was skinny and tall in grade school. Banks got teased a lot at school. But in high school everything changed! She filled out her frame and chose to be a model, with her goal of determination! After being turned down by modeling agencies, Tyra would not give up. And finally Elite modeling signed Tyra. After awhile Banks moved to Paris for a year than came back to the states with high fashions. Soon enough Tyra filmed in many movies and a model for many front covers of magazines.




5. How was it that Tyra Banks got her own shows; America’s Next Top Model and the Tyra Show?

In 2003 Tyra got her very own show called; America’s Next Top Model, on t.v. broadcasted all over the world. Many countries around the world viewed the show and thought it was amazing and it became very popular. And shortly after that in 2005 she created the Tyra Show. Her show is a hit, and it talks about girls with situations and about yourself and body image. She gave up a lot of her modeling career and focused on her shows, but she definitely still models.


Conclusion

In conclusion Tyra Banks is a very pretty and talented model. She is definitely fit, and has big plans for her future. Banks chose a good reason to be a model and has two wonderful shows. I picked to do Tyra on my research because, I admire her and love watching her shows! And one day I hope to be a model too!!
